WOW Foundational Scripture

“She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.” — Proverbs 31:26 (KJV)

Women of Wisdom Mission Statement

The mission of Women of Wisdom (WOW) is to create a sacred space where women come together in prayer, fellowship, and the sharing of godly wisdom. Through intercession, encouragement, and the Word of God, WOW seeks to strengthen faith, nurture spiritual growth, and support women in every season of life, empowering them to walk boldly in purpose, unity, and love.

WOW History

In 2017, The Mountaintop Faith Ministries (MFM) Intercessory Team established the Women of Wisdom (WOW) prayer group to provide elderly women with a dedicated time and space to come together in prayer every Sunday morning (before service began) in the MFM New Members Room. This ministry was rooted in the biblical call to share godly wisdom and encouragement:

“She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.” (Proverbs 31:26)

When the COVID-19 pandemic began, the seven women who regularly prayed together made the decision to continue meeting via Zoom. This allowed the group to remain connected in faith and fellowship while offering comfort and spiritual support to those experiencing isolation. As Scripture reminds us, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)

After one year of faithful prayer as a small group via zoom, in the year 2001, the Intercessory Team leader Victoria Simon sought permission from Pastor House to open the WOW prayer group to all women in the congregation. With his approval, the WOW team began meeting after Sunday morning services to provide prayer, encouragement, and words of wisdom to women who signed into Zoom. Attendance

during this season ranged from 35 to 55 women on any given Sunday, fulfilling the Word:

“Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20)

Schedule

Women were encouraged to actively participate by sharing personal concerns and requesting prayer and wisdom. As the ministry continued to grow, WOW gradually transitioned into a more structured format and moved the WOW time and dates to the 4th Monday of each month at 6:00 pm. Under the leadership of Intercessory Team Leader, Victoria Simon, one intercessor is assigned to share words of wisdom based on a selected topic or a personal testimony of how God brought them through a challenging season. Another intercessor leads prayer, with closing remarks consistently provided by Sister Simon. This structure reflects the call to build and strengthen one another:

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.” (Hebrews 10:24)

Women are encouraged to share openly and submit prayer requests for a variety of needs, as the ministry continues to carry out the biblical mandate to support one another in love:

“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)

Today, WOW averages 30–45 women per session. We are deeply grateful to Pastor House for his continued support and for allowing us the opportunity to come together as a ministry since 2017, standing on God’s promise that faithful prayer produces lasting fruit.
