BAPTISM OF THE
HOLY GHOST
ACTS 2:38
ACTS 2:38
“But the hour cometh, and now is, when true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the father seeketh such
to worship Him. God is a spirit and they that worship him must worship Him in spirit and in truth”. John 4: 23-24
God is a Spirit, which you cannot see or physically touch, therefore, cannot be worshipped with natural things. We must have the
Spirit in us to worship Him in the Spirit.
“But without faith, it is impossible to please Him; for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him”.
Hebrews 11:6 “So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God”. Romans 10:17
“And I say unto you ask and it shall be given”. Luke 11:9
“For everyone that asketh receiveth” Luke 11:10
You must ask in faith and must believe God will give what you ask Him for: in this instance, the Holy Ghost.
“If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father; will he give him a stone; or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he shall ask an egg, will
he offer him a scorpion? If you being evil know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them
that ask Him”?
God wants to give us (you) the Holy Ghost much more than we want to give good things to our children, We are His children!
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the
Holy Ghost”. Acts 2:38.
Repentance is committing to make a 180 degree turn in your mind…that you will live for Jesus and walk in His ways. The Holy Ghost is a gift-you cannot earn it,
it is given freely, you need only to receive the gift.
“For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.” Acts 2:39
“Therefore, I say unto you, What things soever you desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”
