“She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.” — Proverbs 31:26 (KJV)
Women of Wisdom Mission Statement
The mission of Women of Wisdom (WOW) is to create a sacred space where women come together in prayer, fellowship, and the sharing of godly wisdom. Through intercession, encouragement, and the Word of God, WOW seeks to strengthen faith, nurture spiritual growth, and support women in every season of life, empowering them to walk boldly in purpose, unity, and love.
WOW History
Women of Wisdom (WOW) is a ministry of the Mountaintop Faith Ministries (MFM) Intercessory Team, established in 2017 to provide elderly women with a dedicated opportunity to gather in prayer, fellowship, and spiritual encouragement each Sunday morning before service in the MFM New Members Room. From its inception, WOW has been rooted in the biblical call to speak with wisdom and extend kindness to others:
“She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.” (Proverbs 31:26)
During the COVID-19 pandemic, WOW remained steadfast in its commitment to prayer and connection. The seven women who regularly gathered made the decision to continue meeting by Zoom, ensuring that fellowship, encouragement, and intercession would continue during a time of uncertainty and isolation. As Scripture reminds us, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (Psalm 46:1)
After one year of faithful prayer as a small group on Zoom, Intercessory Team Leader Evangelist Victoria Simon sought permission from Pastor House in 2021 to expand the WOW prayer group to include all women of the congregation. With his approval, WOW began meeting after Sunday morning services to offer prayer, encouragement, and words of wisdom to the women joining by Zoom.
During that season, attendance ranged from 35 to 55 women on any given Sunday, fulfilling the Word:
“Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” (Matthew 18:20)
Schedule
As the ministry continued to grow, WOW developed a more structured format and transitioned to meeting on the fourth Monday of each month at 6:00 p.m. Under the leadership of Intercessory Team Leader Evangelist Victoria Simon, each gathering includes a word of wisdom centered on a selected topic or personal testimony, followed by prayer led by an intercessor and closing remarks from Evangelist Simon. This format strengthens the women of the ministry through faith, testimony, and prayer, reflecting the call to build up one another in Christ:
“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works.” (Hebrews 10:24)
Women are encouraged to participate by sharing prayer requests and seeking wisdom for personal, family, and spiritual needs. Through this ministry, WOW continues to fulfill the biblical mandate to bear one another’s burdens and minister to one another in love:
“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
Today, WOW continues to be a source of strength, encouragement, and spiritual support, with an average of 30–45 women participating in each session. The ministry remains deeply grateful to Pastor House for his continued support and for the opportunity to serve faithfully since 2017, standing on the promise that God honors steadfast prayer and fruitful fellowship.
