Goodness & Faithfulness
Hello fellow saints. Welcome to day 4 and it is my prayer that you have been successful in allowing the Lord to lead you through this journey of “O give thanks”.
Today’s concentration is centered around goodness and faithfulness. Two very useful seeds of the fruit of the Spirit found in Gal. 5:22. Goodness is the seed of love in action. It means living one’s life with good morals and motives as well as doing good things for others. It is love with its hand on the plow ready to do the work, love with the burden of being ready to carry the load; it is love that visits the sick, takes food to the hungry; reading the Bible to the blind and explaining the Gospel to those who feel there is no hope. Goodness is a true mark of godliness.
Faithfulness is the seed of love unwavering and steadfast. Faithfulness leads to obedience, and obedience brings about rich blessings from the Lord. Proverbs 28:20 tells us that a faithful man will be richly blessed. Yet being faithful is not always easy, even when we walk upright before God.
Remain Faithful to God, trusting in Him and loving Him through all circumstances, even when you don’t fully understand everything, He’s doing.
Then, be Faithful to others, staying true to your commitments. It’s about loving your family, friends, and enemies even when it’s difficult. Just as God’s love is steadfast and unwavering, our love for others should also be the same.
As you embark on your day, concentrate on goodness and faithfulness along the way.
May God bless and keep you is my prayer.
